Emergency services are vital to making sure the communities we serve are safe and prepared for when the unthinkable happens. On September 21st, members of the Viafield Community Enhancement Foundation presented a $5,000 donation to the Area Ambulance Service in Elgin. Thanks to a matching grant from our partner CoBank, the service will be able to purchase a Power Cot. This piece of equipment will provide greater stability and support for patients while decreasing strenuous lifting and associated risk of back injury to the EMT’s.
