VCEF Makes Donations

Area Ambulance Service Elgin

Emergency services are vital to making sure the communities we serve are safe and prepared for when the unthinkable happens. On September 21st, members of the Viafield Community Enhancement Foundation presented a $5,000 donation to the Area Ambulance Service in Elgin. Thanks to a matching grant from our partner CoBank, the service will be able to purchase a Power Cot. This piece of equipment will provide greater stability and support for patients while decreasing strenuous lifting and associated risk of back injury to the EMT’s.

Our local fire departments are vital to keeping our communities safe year round. On June 27th, the VCEF, along with our partner, CoBank, presented the Kensett Fire Department with a $5,000 donation towards the purchase of new hoses and equipment.

On June 25th, The Viafield Community Enhancement Foundation (VCEF) along with our partner, Land O’Lakes, presented the Floyd County Ag Society with a $2,500 donation towards the audio/video system in the new Schartzrock Family Community Center. Congratulations!

On May 26th, along with our partner, CoBank, the foundation presented the Worth County Beautification Development group with a $5,000 donation towards the purchase of new tables and chairs to use for bingo during the fair. They will also be used within other buildings throughout the year.

On May 24th, members of The Viafield Community Enhancement Foundation, along with our partner, Land O’Lakes, presented the Rockford Volunteer Fire Department with a $2,500 donation towards the purchase of new bunker gear. This new gear will help the department keep our community safe for years to come.
