Position Title:

Seasonal Grain Operations Associate

Position Summary:

Reporting to Assistant Location Manager or Location Manager, the Seasonal Grain and Agronomy Operations Associate a Non Exempt position.

The Seasonal Grain Operations Associate will perform duties associated with grain within the facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Promote an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the mission and core values of Viafield.
  • Model behaviors that support Viafield’s mission and core values to be a trusted advisor to our customers and members.


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Grain handling including but not limited to filling, reclaiming and transferring of grain.
  • Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy.
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
  • Comply with government regulations and company safety policies and procedures
  • Inform the Location Manager of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year grain experience preferred.
  • Proficient with inventory control systems.
  • Able to work extended hours (seasonally) to meet business needs.
  • Able to work in dusty conditions, adverse weather conditions, and temperatures. Occasionally exposed to high precarious places, around moving mechanical parts, loud noises, and fumes, airborne particles, or toxic or caustic chemicals. .
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
